Social Media Marketing is the new trend in online marketing now. It gives an easy access to word of mouth communication in a very cost effective way. The best product/service survives in this social media world as it is much easier for anyone to either praise or criticize the same. While almost every company have joined in this race, there are still many SMEs and even big companies who are reluctant to jump into this race. My advice to them is: just ride the ride and see the results; If you get positive reviews, its all yours at for a penny, and if you get the opposite, you needn't shun away, its time for you to retrospect and come up with the better product/service.
The first step towards stepping into SM starts with Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and Google Plus (obviously you must be having a blog by now). While setting up a page isn't difficult, you might get some reluctance if it is the first time for you. Try it for yourself, there are many free tutorials available. if you still don't want to do it yourself, there are agencies or people who would do it for you. Example www.increasewebrank.com. Setting it up was the easiest part. You need a proper marketing strategy for each of the said platforms as only mere presence wouldn't let you take out the most of it. You need to know what you want to communicate. Are you doing this for sales promotion, brand awareness, customer relationship management etc. Each platform has a specific audience and norms. Does it sound abit confusing? Well leave those to others as well if are ready to spend some dollars. Yes, even these can be outsourced, at a much cheaper price.
After everything has been updated, you would need regular updates to engage the followers/fans and also some promotions to get new followers. Choose the updates wisely by keeping in mind the kind of customers/followers you are having. Don't ever hard sell, that will annoy everyone. You might get some ups and down, but that is all fine as it is part of the process, and you will learn from it. So, start now.

How to extract the images in a ppt in full resolutions
If you want to extract the full resolutions of the images from a powerpoint (PPT) presentation, then follow this easy steps:
1. In PowerPoint 2007/2010 (maybe 2008/2011?) the .pptx file is actually a compressed folder.
2. Copy the file, change its file extension to .zip, and you can extract its contents.
3. In the extracted folders \ppt\media you’ll find jpegs for all the images at the highest resolution they have been saved.
For 2003 ppt format, follow these steps:
1. Make the slide as big as possible and drag the corner of the graphic you wish to print to make it as large as possible within the slide.
2. Go to file options and choose “Save as Web Page…” via the File Menu.
3. Below the explorer window in that dialog is a button labeled “Publish”, click this and you are presented with yet more options and another button “Web Options”.
4. Click this and again go to "more options", and select the "Pictures tab" on that dialog box
5. Change the “screen size” to the highest value (1920×1200).
6. Click OK in that dialog and Publish in the next.
The result will be a clutch of new files in your folder, a static website based on the original Powerpoint slideshow. Go to the web page files folder and open it. In this folder you will find a large-ish png file, which will hopefully have pixel dimensions of 1920×1200, which is perfectly adequate for printing at about six inches width screening at 300 dots-per-inch (not to be confused with desktop printer resolution, by the way), this is print for screened publications such as newspapers and magazines.
